After a grueling workout, you’ll find us reaching for one (or more) of our favorite recovery products. Oftentimes, those tools are made by Therabody.
The popular recovery brand formally known as Theragun rebranded in 2020 with the aim of expanding its product line beyond its world-renowned, top-rated percussive therapy device. At the time of its rebrand, the tech wellness company launched a full-spectrum hemp CBD product line for recovery, called TheraOne. A year later, Therabody entered the compression therapy game with its RecoveryAir Leg Compression Boots. Then in May of this year, Therabody finally went neck up with the release of its TheraFace Pro, an impressive eight-in-on facial device (you can our full review on that here.)
However, no release has been quite as colossal as Therabody’s drop yesterday, which featured seven new self-care products designed to target various facets of consumers’ wellness and lifestyles, particularly as it pertains to performance, pain management, stress and sleep. The new product offerings are also quite indicative of Therabody’s pursuit of becoming a mind-body wellness brand.
While some fan favorites — i.e. the Theragun and Theragun Mini — are getting some notable upgrades, the real excitement (in our opinion) is in the company’s new wearable technology. Last week, we had the opportunity to check out the latest wellness innovations from Therabody. So below is a rundown of the seven new product launches, plus a few initial thoughts. All of Therabody’s new releases are available to shop right now, except the Theragun Mini 2.0.
New Theragun PRO by Therabody
What’s in store for the brand’s star recovery tool? Well, for starters it’s extremely quiet. Like, insanely quiet. That’s thanks to the all-new PRO EQ150 motor that decreases noise by 20% without compromising power. The updated message gun also now features an OLED screen that includes four built-in routines (Sleep, Warm Up, Recovery and Theragun Break) to help users better accurately and effectively treat targeted areas.
New Theragun mini by Therabody
While it’s 20% smaller and 30% lighter than its predecessor, this tiny boy relieves aches and pains just as forcefully. It also now has Bluetooth capabilities, meaning it can connect to your Therabody app. We will be keeping one in our bags at all times.
Therabody SmartGoggles
Of the products I tried, Therabody’s new wearable facial device (which looks like a high-tech sleep mask) was my favorite. SmartGoggles use the company’s trademarked SmartSense Technology that fuses a biometric heart rate sensor with vibration, heat and massage settings. Essentially, the goggles create customized treatments to help lower stress, ease headaches and eye strain and help you get to sleep. The experience of the SmartGoggles was extremely relaxing, and I definitely need them for my next plane ride.
Therabody RecoveryTherm Hot & Cold Vibration Knee
The second new piece of wearable technology from Therabody is designed to target knee pain and optimize rehabilitation with a combination of cold, heat and vibration therapies.
Therabody RecoveryTherm Hot Vibration Back & Core
Utilizing the same technology as above, the last wearable product on this list targets lower back and core pain. By distributing consistent heat around the entire core, the hands-free device helps to relieve chronic back pain, along with pain caused by injuries, minor tweaks and even menstrual cramps.
Therabody TheraCup
This three-in-one device combines heat and vibration treatments with at-home cupping modalities to relieve pain in localized areas. Its small, portable design also allows you to take your cupping sessions on the go.
Therabody Lounger
Full-body relaxation is but $4,000 away with this sleek, zero gravity chair. The premium Therabody Lounger transmits sound waves that are then felt through the body as vibrations, putting you in a completely restorative meditative state for as long as you please.
