Now we know why Seth Rogen’s been posting ceramics pictures on social media.

The actor, looking surprisingly clean-shaven, announced via Twitter that his weed brand Houseplant will soon be available in California. Launched in Canada in 2019, the company is a collaboration between Rogen and his writing partner Evan Goldberg, along with the cannabis/hemp company Canopy Growth Corporation (which is not part of the U.S. launch)

While initially offering just a few strains available in colorful containers, Houseplant has now branched out into ashtrays, lighters and ceramics … a hobby Rogen seems to have relished over the past year.

As the actor tweeted: “Almost ten years I go, I envisioned having my own weed company. And today I can say that my company Houseplant’s weed will be available in California next week! Also, Houseplant is making lovely Housegoods like ashtrays, lighters, and YES, even ceramics.”

In follow-up tweets, Rogen noted that Houseplant had also made vinyl with a different mix of songs for each strain they sell … and those strains are all named after weather systems “like we did with Pineapple Express.”

The Houseplant website crashed this morning after the announcement, but it appears to be back up.
