The first generation of the Reebok Nano was released back in 2011 to widespread acclaim. Admired by CrossFit athletes, lifters and gym rats, the do-it-all training shoe still receives updates every year to improve comfort and performance. Some versions, like the Nano 7, didn’t really hit the mark when it came to running-specific workouts or weighted carries. But we’re willing to leave those blunders in the past now that the latest version of the Nano — the Nano X1 — is finally 20% off at Reebok in a range of colors.
Widely regarded as one of the best all-around training shoes, the Nano X1 adds cushioning, style and a few millimeters of drop from heel to toe that improves overall comfort. Floatride Energy Foam throughout the midsole adds response on training runs, while the upper’s Flexweave knit material sheds weight and promotes breathability. Reebok added a heel clip to boost stability and paired it with chevron-like treads to maintain grip through dynamic movements. All told, these improvements give rise to one of the best trainers we’ve ever used.
