We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again:
Huckleberry LTD makes jewelry for badasses and badasses alone.
Proof positive on that score is this spankin’ new, one-of-a-kind Rolex, a Milgauss with 3.40 carats of black diamond on a channel bezel and an intricately hand-engraved band that took 140 hours to complete. The watch is their first in a series of Rolex collaborations with Fin Des Temps, a master engraving house in NYC. They’ll release one a month.
The engraving echoes Huckleberry’s ubiquitous plant motif. Look closely and you’ll notice the veins of leaves. They first approached an aging Russian master based in L.A. to do the engraving, but he told them that level of detail was a young man’s game; the sustained pressure involved with notching is very hard on the hands.
They eventually found Fin Des Temps. Huckleberry handed in a design but told Fin to freestyle it; the latter nailed the concept with aplomb. And the names pair well to boot: Huck and Fin.
The watch goes on sale November 11th, and will set you back $36,000. It comes with a hand-carved, numbered box, just like the watch. Next month’s watch will be a Rolex GMT with green accents.
If you’re interested in purchasing, email Huckleberry to get on the waitlist. But do so fast, because the list? She’s a growing.
