If you like Copacabana and getting caught out in deep-fried plantains, good news:

The Brazilian government just added tourists from the USA, Canada, Australia and Japan to the list of nationalities that can visit Brazil without a visa to promote tourism before, during and after the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Olympics will be staged in and around Rio de Janeiro, Brazil’s second largest city and a tourism hub regardless the occasion, from August 5th to 21st. The waiver, which permits select foreign citizens to enter the country freely from June 1st to September 18th, allows for up to 90 days of sun, surf and samba.

This isn’t the first time Brazil has been good to travelers in recent months. Last summer, Brazilian airline Azul offered 10- and 21-day unlimited flight passes for under $400.

Fingers crossed they bring that one back ahead of the torch lighting.
