Seems like only yesterday we heard about Virgin Group founder Richard Branson using his private islands as collateral during the pandemic and subsequent decline in travel.
Now? He’d like you to come visit.
Just announced, Branson’s private isle of Moskito — located in the British Virgin Islands — is now taking bookings at the Branson Estate, the first of many estates to open on the property this year. It neighbors Necker Island, one of the entrepreneur’s homes.
The 125-acre resort features a recreation area, pristine beaches and exclusive luxury villas, according to the property website. Activities on the island and in the nearby Caribbean waters include tennis, mountain biking, “team Olympics,” sailing, kite surfing, scuba diving and more.
The Branson Estate can host up to 22 guests in 11 villas, which is good, because starting at $25,000 for exclusive use, that’s still quite a price. If you’re wondering what the experience is like on the island — though not at the resort itself — Brian Kelly at The Points Guy detailed his recent experience here, including a fairly rigorous COVID-19 testing process before and during his stay. You can also watch a video about the island from a 2018 excursion below.
