James Holzhauer’s epic run on Jeopardy may have already come to an end.
A clip which leaked onto the internet Sunday appears to show the 32-day champion answering a “Final Jeopardy” question correctly — and losing anyhow.
Holzhauer, who has already won more than $2.4 million on the show, is closing in on show legend Ken Jennings’ all-time money record and has the chance to break it when Jeopardy next airs.

Leaked by a Twitter account named Random Intel which has fewer than 150 followers, the viral video appears to show Jeopardy James losing to a woman named Emma and giving her a high-five afterward like a good sport.

If Holzhauer’s streak really is over, it’s good for other contestants but bad for charity.
"Jeopardy James" @James_Holzhauer and Melissa Holzhauer have donated $10,000 to Grace Community Birth Center @BirthGrace in Grand, Bassin Haiti. To join them in raising $120,000 for our birthing center go to: https://t.co/Mpd8KlCfHL pic.twitter.com/OpdNnyDfMj

It’s unclear when the clip, if it is real, was shot so it’s possible it took place in an episode after Holzhauer breaks Jennings’ all-time winnings record of $2,520,700.
Entering Monday, Holzhauer was $58,484 behind Jennings and would not have caught him even had he won with the amount he banked in the leaked video, an uncharacteristically low $24,799.
Tune in Monday night to see what happens.
UPDATE and SPOILER ALERT: The New York Times has confirmed Chicago librarian Emma Boettcher defeated Holzhauer and that he was stopped short of surpassing Jennings. “Nobody likes to lose,” Holzhauer said in an interview. “But I’m very proud of how I did, and I really exceeded my own expectations for the show. So I don’t feel bad about it.”
