It’s been months since Apple first announced its plans for a new streaming service called Apple TV Plus. Now, with the streaming wars heating up, we finally have an idea of when to expect the Netflix and Hulu competitor to launch. According to a new Bloomberg report, the company plans to roll out the service by November for $9.99 a month.
If Apple TV Plus does indeed launch in November, that means it will make its debut at the same time as Disney’s Disney+ service, which will be available on Nov. 12. Apple has reportedly spent $2 billion on the service, which will include original content from the likes of Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey.
On Monday (Aug. 19), we got our first look at some of that original programming as the trailer for The Morning Show was released. The drama, which stars Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell, follows the anchors of a morning news program in the wake of sexual harassment allegations against Carell’s character. According to an Apple press release, the show will explore “ego, ambition and the misguided search for power” in the world of TV journalism.
There’s no word yet on when exactly The Morning Show will premiere, but you can check out the trailer below.
