Rihanna is a multi-faceted bitch, she does a ton of shit. While the Barbadian singer/actress/fashion designer/businesswoman is still holding out on new music, much to the chagrin of her fans, she’s busy expanding her beauty and lingerie empires: Fenty Beauty and Savage x Fenty, both of which have been subject to glowing reviews and lauded for their inclusivity since their inceptions. The singer’s lingerie label, in particular, has eclipsed longstanding brands like Victoria’s Secret and is now the place to go for sexy staples.
And thanks to RiRi, the holidays just got even sexier.
A couple of weeks ago, the official Instagram for Savage x Fenty posted photos of the brand’s new holiday offerings, some of which take a very unique take on a classic bedtime essential.
The “Tied-Up Tartan” collection features an array of sleepwear decked out in the quintessential holiday fabric: tartan. From adorable sleep shorts and cute bralettes to comfy robes and sleep shirts for him and her, the collection is full of relatively standard wintry/festive pieces — until you get to its pièce de résistance: the Tied Up Tartan Open-Back PJ Pant.
Certainly not your mother’s Christmas morning pajamas, the yarn-dyed tartan plaid flannel bottom is a “Savage twist” on a classic holiday ware that features “an open bum to show off what you want.”
While it is the mullet of pajama pants and again, not the fit anyone should be rocking while opening presents around family members, we actually don’t hate it. It’s fun, novel, and of course, very sexy (especially when paired with the matching bralette.) So if you’re looking for a risqué gift that isn’t crotchless panties, here it is.
You can shop the peek-a-boo (or rather, peek-a-butt) pant in Pink Canterbury Plaid and Blue Aruba Canterbury Plaid, and get yourself a pair of matching tartan pajama pants while you’re at it. ‘Tis the season after all.
