Oh Emmy, how we’ve missed you. The television awards show presented from the Peacock Theater in LA last night a full five months after the annual event was supposed to air — the 75th annual Emmys were postponed from their standard September run time due to the series of industry strikes that crippled Hollywood, inspired SNL skits and made Disney CEO Bob Iger look like a total ass — and the Emmys delivered on a promise of a night worth the wait, thanks to big-hitter sweeps from Succession, The Bear and Beef, a few half-decent skits and a refreshingly honest job from Black-ish star and host Anthony Anderson (at least when compared to Jo Koy). Well, that, and the catalog of star-studded nominees that ranged from internet hunk/improbably jacked Jeremy Allen White to the stacked (and shockingly iced out) cast of daddy-drama Succession.
More than the awards, more than the prestige, more even than the plethora of mouth-to-mouth kisses shared by mostly Kieran Culkin, we were excited, nay, thrilled by the red (scratch that, silver) carpet. Much like the Golden Globes, there was a ton of black-tie, galaxy-brain menswear from designer favorites to satisfy our never-ending demand for hot people in very good clothes. All eyes are on the stars of the small screen, and we’ve got the best (and most notable) nicely lined up for you. Below, the best menswear red carpet looks from the 2024 Emmy Awards.
