The 2017 Met Gala honored the Comme des Garçons designer Rei Kawakubo. But while it recognized the accomplishments of this avant-garde designer, much of the night was focused on what the celebrity attendees were wearing…or weren’t wearing. That’s because Kendall Jenner’s dress from lingerie brand La Perla and Bella Hadid’s see-through bodysuit became the talk of the Gala. Below, some of the other great Met affair’s looks and moments. (And yes, attendees did tend to embrace fashions that were more stylish than practical, as you’ll see below.)
