There are plenty of celebrities with admirable personal style, but often their “everyday” looks prove just as inaccessible as their red carpet stylings, whether it’s the result of a stylist’s influence or an abundance of designer pieces that we regular folk can only dream of owning.

Then there’s Bradley Cooper.

The dashing actor has already been papped several times this year wearing a series of enviable but achievable fits.

Part of the charm is that, like most normal people, Cooper has a few pieces he relies on time and time again, from a pair of Red Wing boots to a classic navy peacoat, so you get the sense that this is his preferred and most honest way of dressing. It’s fuss-free and simple but still boasting some subtle yet effective stylistic touches, like a buffalo plaid flannel buttoned all the way to the top or a flat cap worn backwards.

Below we’ve detailed three of Bradley Cooper’s most recent and inspiring outfits, and the various ways to achieve them yourself. While you might not look like a leading man, you’ll at the very least look extremely cool and effortlessly stylish.

Look 1: If you don’t yet have a buffalo plaid flannel in your winter wardrobe, then allow this look to be the deciding factor — you need one. Cooper pairs the flannel with a pair of terracotta-colored workwear-inspired carpenter pants (which he also wears in outfit #2), a black beanie, Persol sunnies and his favorite pair of Red Wing Moc Boots in black. The look is rugged without being too outdoorsy, made appropriate for the city thanks to Cooper’s styling of the flannel, buttoning it all the way to the top, the bottom button left unbuttoned to allow a striped shirt to occasionally peek from underneath.

Look 2: The peacoat is often touted as an essential piece of men’s outerwear, yet is often cast aside in favor of top coats and puffers. Yet Cooper makes the very good case for the nautical-inspired coat, casually layering it over a sweater hoodie and pairing it with those same carpenter pants, as well as his trusty Red Wings and Persols. Cooper elevates the look and makes it his own by adding a logoed trucker hat (with the hood of his sweater slightly pulled over it) and the collar of his coat popped, proving that you can in fact pull it off without looking like a d-bag.

Look 3: The peacoat, Persols and Red Wings make yet another appearance. This time the actor foregoes the carpenter pants in favor of a pair of navy joggers with a contrasting stripe along the side, proving that you don’t always have to wear sweats with sneakers. The pièce de résistance of Cooper’s fit is undoubtedly the flat cap worn backwards, a silhouette that some might view as challenging to pull off yet worn by the actor with an air of nonchalance and ease. Consider this the ideal weekend fit for running errands or grabbing a cup of joe.
