In lieu of Prime Day — a non-holiday sales event by Amazon that has now postponed until fall because 2020 — the e-tailing giant is launching The Big Style Sale.
If Prime Day could be disappointing, the BSS has more modest goals: up to 40% off Amazon’s own (already inexpensive) brands, 30-40% off brands like Adidas, Cole Haan and Levi’s, and up to half off certain watches, luggage and Steve Madden shoes.
It’s a lot to comb through, and some sales seem to only last a day (Levi’s, Adidas, etc.) while others could last up to a week. To be safe, assume if you see a deal today you like act like it won’t be there tomorrow.
A few standouts:
Ray-Ban
Get up to 30% off over 200 styles of Ray-Ban and Oakley sunglasses, though this one is a Prime member exclusive.
J. Crew Mercantile
My favorite polo shirt is from his J. Crew off-shoot — apparently Mercantile were clothes originally targeted for their outlet stores but then moved into everyday retail. So I’ll happily dive into Mercantile’s dozens of sale items (for men and women), now at up to 40% off.
Amazon Brands
Amazon Essentials, Daily Ritual, Goodthreads, 28 Palms … Amazon’s house brands are cheap, sure, but also they’re pretty good everyday wares. If you need shorts, short-sleeves and sandals for summer, this is a good time to pick up some basics for $8-$16. But most of theses are listed as a “Deal of the Day,” so you’ll want to act now.
We've put in the work researching, reviewing and rounding up all the shirts, jackets, shoes and accessories you'll need this season, whether it's for yourself or for gifting purposes. Sign up here for weekly style inspo direct to your inbox.
