Earlier this week at Stephen Curry’s SC30 Select Camp, the two-time MVP got a taste of his own medicine.
While on the court with 5-star high schoolers from the class of 2021, Curry was D-ing up on 7-footer Chet Holmgren while the big man brought the ball up in transition following a dunk on the other end.
Handling the rock outside the 3-point line, the Minnehaha Academy junior used a Curry-like move on the 31-year-old NBA star by dribbling behind his back and then taking the ball to the rim for a dunk that got the crowd going.
Minnehaha Academy is the defending Class 2A state champion in Minnesota, according toĀ The Star Tribune.
During the weekend of 2A state tournament, Holmgren racked upĀ 53 points, 37 rebounds and 21 shots in all.
“A lot of people think Iām just tall and they see me play,ā Holmgren said afterward. āI just go out there, play my hardest, work every day to get better. I guess itās paying off.ā
Curry and Holmgren continued to go after each other throughout the three-day camp.
