Tom Brady Endorses Lamar Jackson as His Successor … Kind Of

Brady had a positive reaction to a post about New England’s interest in Jackson.

The Patriots reportedly are high on Louisville prospect Lamar Jackson and, if Instagram comments are to be taken as gospel, it appears New England’s quarterback is as well.

After the NFL Network posted an Instagram post about New England having interest in drafting Jackson as Tom Brady’s replacement at quarterback, the comments came in fast and furious.

In a response to the post, which indicated Bill Belichick would be interested in Jackson because his skill set is similar to that of Houston quarterback Deshaun Watson, analyst Deion Sanders commented: “About time they get the revelation.”

Brady, or someone with access to his account, then responded to Sanders by writing “he’s a beast!!!!” and adding the thumbs up emoji.

Of course, as Mike Florio points out, this could all be part of some Belichick-ian Jedi mind trick to get the Jets, Bills or some other QB-needy team to draft Jackson so the Patriots can take the player they truly covet. Who that is exactly remains to be seen.

Perhaps Brady’s next Instagram comment will provide some clarification.
