According to a copy of the forthcoming Stormy Daniels book obtained by CNN, she allegedly had an experience with Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in 2006 that left her terrified.
Daniels, who has previously mentioned she met Roethlisberger when he was hanging out with Donald Trump in Lake Tahoe in 2006, said the NFL star asked her for a “good night kiss” after he walked her back to her room.
Roethlisberger was walking Daniels back to her room at the request of Trump, who had invited her to a VIP section of a golf course the day after they allegedly had sex.
Trump had to leave and made “Ben promise to take care of me,” Daniels said in a March interview.
In the book, Daniels says she refused Roethlisberger’s request for a kiss at which point he stood outside her door and pushed on it lightly. “I was terrified. I am rarely terrified,” Daniels wrote, saying Roethlisberger responded, saying, “’Come on.’”
After lingering outside for several minutes, Roethlisberger left.
In 2009 a woman sued Roethlisberger in civil court for allegedly raping her in 2008 in the penthouse suite of a hotel in Lake Tahoe. Roethlisberger wasn’t charged and the lawsuit was settled in 2012.
Roethlisberger’s representatives didn’t reply to CNN’s request for comment.
