After failing in their attempt to bring Peyton Manning in as a broadcaster, Fox is reportedly going to fill the gap in Thursday Night Football with, appropriately enough, Michael Strahan.
According to Sports Illustrated, Fox will have the ”Good Morning America” co-host handle hosting duties for TNF, the franchise Fox paid $3.3 billion for during the NFL offseason.
While hosting the pregame show on Thursdays, according to the report, Strahan will have Howie Long and Terry Bradshaw lining up next to him. During gameplay, it’s expected Fox will call on their lead team of Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Erin Andrews.
On Sundays, Strahan, Long and Bradshaw will continue to work with Curt Menefee and Jimmy Johnson on Fox’s Sunday pregame show as they have in the past.
Fox has 11 games on the slate for TNF this season.
