Considering he used to use a P.F. Chang’s as his office, it should come as no surprise that Raiders owner Mark Davis is using some of the money he didn’t spend on getting a decent haircut to build himself a mansion outside of Las Vegas that resembles the home stadium and practice facility of the NFL team he was given by his daddy.
On a six-acre plot in a luxury community in Henderson, the 66-year-old owner intends to build a three-story home that will look strikingly similar to the Raiders’ practice facility and Allegiant Stadium, per the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
With a $14-million price tag, the silver-and-black house will include a “man cave,” prep kitchen, bar, steam room, library, pool area, porte-cochere and an area for “guest/vendor parking,” according to the plans.
Though ground has been broken on the 15,000-square-foot mansion, Davis reportedly has “no idea” when the home will be completed and that the luxury builder he hired to design and build the house has been working on the project for about a year and half.
Speaking to The Journal, architect Ed Vance said the look of the home is “futuristic” and that is doesn’t have a “homey feel by any means.”
“This is definitely a macho house,” Vance, of Ed Vance & Associates Architects, said. It’s something alright.
