Buffalo Bills backup quarterback Matt Barkley may have a job playing behind Josh Allen, but he’s not being paid the way he’d like.
Barkley has, evidently, asked each team he’s played for — the San Francisco 49ers, Cincinnati Bengals and Bills — to pay him in Bitcoin, according to Bleacher Report. A request they’ve reportedly denied.
But in Barkley’s defense, he’s not the only professional athlete who’s taken notice of the cryptocurrency. Los Angeles Chargers offensive tackle Russell Okung just recently tweeted his interest in being paid in Bitcoin.
Pay me in Bitcoin.

The NFL hasn’t yet hopped on the cryptocurrency bandwagon, but it may be only a matter of time if more of their players start requesting the changeover.
