Neither guy is an All-Star, but Jaylen Brown and Jrue Holiday both played like one last night while leading the Boston Celtics and New Orleans Pelicans to wins and 2-0 series leads.
In Boston, Brown had a playoff career-high 30 points and became the youngest player in franchise history to score that amount while leading the Celtics to a 120-106 win over the Bucks.
On the road in Portland, Holiday had a playoff career-high 33 points of his own as the underdog Pelicans knocked off the Trail Blazers 111-102 in an upset win. With the series shifting to New Orleans, the Blazers are in a must-win spot as are the Bucks when they next play in Milwaukee.
In the third Game 2 on Tuesday night, the Toronto Raptors rolled to a relatively easy 130-119 win over the Washington Wizards and a 2-0 series lead behind DeMar DeRozan’s playoff career-high-tying 37 points.
Tonight, LeBron and the Cavs will attempt to dig themselves out of a 0-1 hole against the Pacers in Cleveland, the Thunder will look to extend to a 2-0 series lead against the Jazz in Oklahoma City and Timberwolves will try to even things up at 1-1 with the Rockets in Houston.
