Buried in the news earlier this month that former Mike & Mike host Mike Golic would not be continuing at ESPN Radio was the announcement that his ex-partner Mike Greenberg would be making his return to the broadcast network.

Greenberg, who hosts Get Up! on ESPN in the morning, will return to radio with a new show Greeny in the afternoon. Listeners should expect in-depth discussions about issues and extended interviews with guests that warrant a lengthy amount of airtime.

Though Greenberg will be the only host of the show, he will be joined by other people, and listeners will hear anywhere from three to six different voices with him over the course of the two-hour program, according to Variety.

But, in all likelihood, one of those voices will not belong to Golic as Greeny is not going to be a Mike & Mike reboot.

“What Mike and I did I will always be so proud of, and it was singular and unique. I think it would be a huge mistake to try to recapture that or recreate that. That’s not on the list of possibilities,” Greenberg told Variety.

Once it begins airing on August 17, Greeny will be followed by a new program hosted by Max Kellerman of First Take fame followed by WNBA All-Star Chiney Ogwumike and Golic’s son Mike Golic Jr. closing out the day with their new show Chiney and Golic Jr.
