Peyton and Eli Manning, along with their father Archie and older brother Cooper, have joined a new team.
To kick off the day on Tuesday, Caesars Sportsbook announced all four of the aforementioned Mannings had agreed to a first-of-its-kind partnership that will aid the sports betting company as it expands across the country with legal wagering becoming available in more states.
“This isn’t the typical partnership between a sports betting company and major talent,” said Caesars Digital co-president Chris Holdren. “We’re welcoming the most acclaimed family in football history to be integrated holistically into the Caesars family. Archie, Peyton, Eli, and Cooper are extraordinary people who are champions of their communities and we’re honored to partner with such a prestigious group of individuals.”
In addition to making live event and commercial appearances, the Mannings will be featured in advertising for Caesars Sportsbook and we wouldn’t be shocked if Peyton and Eli give it a mention or two on the ManningCast. The Mannings will eventually interact directly with Caesars Rewards members via activations and will also serve as ambassadors for the gambling giant’s push for responsible gaming. “Drawing a parallel to the importance of staying in control – like they did on the football field every Sunday – the Mannings will highlight the resources that Caesars Sportsbook provides bettors to stay in control of their gaming,” according to Caesars.
The Mannings will also lend “their creativity and expertise as advisers,” per Caesars.
“We’re excited to partner with the team at Caesars Sportsbook,” Peyton Manning said. “We’re looking forward to interacting with their customers who love sports and love football, and we know Caesars has a lot of fun initiatives planned. They place a strong emphasis on community impact, and we appreciate their support of causes that are important to us.”
With the Mannings now partnered up with Caesars, perhaps some even bigger bets will start coming in on Arch.
Speaking of the ManningCast, which did not air last night but will be returning to Monday Night Football in the coming weeks, the FCC is currently looking into Eli for giving America (and specifically Philly fans) the double bird during ESPN’s alternate broadcast in Week 3 when the Cowboys destroyed the Eagles.
As a result of Eli’s double middle fingers, three viewers filed complaints to the FCC, according to TMZ. “Mr. Manning’s actions are offensive to me as a viewer. It was also offensive as a Philadelphia native and sports fan,” one of them wrote. “There were young children watching that broadcast last evening.”
Hopefully Caesars won’t receive similar complaints. (We doubt they will.)
