New York Yankees great Alex Rodriguez has been a busy guy since his 2016 retirement from professional baseball. Most significantly, that’s involved a planned foray into sports ownership with the Minnesota Timberwolves. That’s not the only project, he’s working on, however. A new article at Us Weekly notes that Rodriguez just announced a new makeup product for men — specifically, a concealer. Call it “A-Rod’s Erase Rod,” perhaps.
On an Instagram post, Rodriguez offered more details about the product, dubbed The Blur Stick and available via Hims & Hers.
“I realized as I was jumping from meeting to meeting, I needed something quick and easy in my routine to conceal blemishes or razor bumps,” Rodriguez wrote, going on to refer to it as “a convenient concealer specifically designed for men that can be used for skin imperfections.”
Men’s makeup is a growing market, with CVS announcing it would begin carrying products in this field last year. And if ever there was a person to convince reluctant guys to give makeup a try, Rodriguez certainly fits the bill.
Us Weekly‘s article notes that the Blur Stick is available in 8 different shades, and retails for $17. If this is a game-changer for the makeup space, it’s coming from someone who knows a lot about game-changers.
