The streets, Jay-Z once said, is watching.
Two horologists took that phrase quite literally.
Introducing Hudson River Watch Co., a just-launched startup peddling natty timepieces named after (and inspired by) New York City’s streets, available for pre-order right now.
These are crackerjack pieces of engineering. And they’re all less than $500.
Started by a husband-and-wife duo (he an avid watch collector, she of studio design chops), HRWC features a nod to NYC in each ticker – like the Fulton Street, the face of which recalls a steamship’s telegraph dials.
Or the Berry Street, named after the Brooklyn boulevard and inspired by vintage stopwatches.
Or the Milligan Street, a powerful design named after the secluded West Village lane.
Each band is interchangeable, so you can swap that polished leather for sporty nylon ribbon at will.
And if you act quickly, you can take advantage of HRWC’s special pre-order price on Kickstarter, only available until April 12th.
Like Jay-Z said, pre-orders is shipping.
