Hopefully, you haven’t been holding your breath waiting for the 2020 Ford Bronco. Intel leaked about the iconic auto’s comeback way back in 2017.
Regardless, it didn’t get us too excited at the time. The 2020 Bronco is poised to be a family car — lots of cargo room for the grocery store run, that sort of thing. Which is a shame. If you’re going to put four doors on a Bronco, slap ’em on on the blue destroyer of old, not a gussy model that shares the driveway with a minivan.
So … someone did just that.
Enter: Maxlider Brothers Customs and their 4 Door Bronco.
Created for the SEMA Auto Show (where it placed in the Top 10 in the Off-Road category) and documented on YouTube over several months, the “Bronco Limo” is a restored early Bronco with a 5.0-L Coyote engine and six-speed transmission. That’s good for 670-HP. The numbers that matter most here though are four (doors) and six (seats). It’s hard to imagine a better beach highway vehicle. And that blue exterior is absolute bliss.
While this project was a one-off, you can always ask nicely (and show up with some very deep pockets) if you’re intent on wheeling your own four-door Bronco home. Not to mention, Maxlider also sells a variety of fixed-up two-door Broncos, which you can peruse here.
