In life, nothing is certain but death, taxes and your phone running out of juice when you need it most.
To prevent that from happening ever again, Anker created a portable 400Wh power supply with enough capacity to charge a phone 40 times or a laptop 15 times without being refilled.
Designed to go off the grid with you on festival weekends, camping trips or the inevitable zombie apocalypse, the PowerHouse is also capable of charging lamps, TVs, mini-fridges, medical equipment or even a Tesla Model S.
In order to make sure the device’s high-density lithium-ion battery doesn’t blow gaskets on any of your respective gadgets, the PowerHouse is equipped with a Battery Management System (BMS) that manages voltage, temperature and ensures stuff like this doesn’t happen.
Charging the nine-pound PowerHouse via a wall socket takes about 10 hours, but Anker has plans to release a solar charging system in the future that could provide a full boost in as few as 16 hours.
The device retails for $500, but is available to preorder for $400 by using the code ANKPower at checkout.
Power to the people.
