It may be stifling in L.A. at the moment, but give it a month and we’ll all be looking east, toward Palm Springs.
Because it’s, y’know, a dry heat.
And if it was good enough for Sinatra, it’s good enough for you.
Also good enough, and how: our Palm Springs Rental Guide to the best homes for rent.
Inside:
-
A new build with floor-to-ceiling windows and expansive western views
-
A mid-century modern home with a “tropical backyard”
-
The Hamrick House, decked out with white carrera marble and Viking appliances
Before you dive in, a few words of advice.
While in Palm Springs, make a point to hike the frond-lined creek in the Palm Canyon area of Indian Canyons. Seriously, if you haven’t done this, it’s a must.
Also: plan to dine one night at the Purple Palm, a Moroccan-themed restaurant in the Colony Palms Hotel.
As for brain grub: the Palm Springs Museum is opening a new Architecture and Design Center in a renovated 1960s bank. Highly recommended.
So, there’s plenty to do.
Much of it involves doing very little.
So go do it. Enjoy the guide.
