BuzzFeed reporter Joseph Bernstein acquired a cache of emails and documents that show how former Breitbart News staffer and conservative commentator Milo Yiannopoulos interacted with white nationalists as well as his former boss and White House adviser Steve Bannon.
“These documents chart the Breitbart alt-right universe. They reveal how the website — and, in particular, Yiannopoulos — links the Mercer family, the billionaires who fund Breitbart, to underpaid trolls who fill it with provocative content, and to extremists striving to create a white ethnostate,” Joseph Bernstein writes in his 9,000-word exposé.
Bernstein also obtained a video of Yiannopoulos singing “America the Beautiful” as people in the crowd give Nazi salutes.
