We’re big fans of Status Audio, a NY-based audio brand that uses its lack of branding to pass along savings but not skimp on sound. Their BT Ones, released in January, are slim, comfy, collapsible, 40mm driver on-ear wireless headphones in a handsome dark tan or black colorways.
They offer 30 hours on a charge, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and a wired 3.5mm cable backup. All for $120, but now back down to the preorder price of $99. Something similar from the larger audio brands might go for three times that amount.
But not everyone wants the on-ear option, especially during a heated summer day. So Status has two new wireless earphones — unfortunately, no true-wireless earbuds yet — that offer the same Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, but add water resistance and reduce the amount of audio headspace.
The BT Structure is a dual-driver, behind-the-ear set with a “classic racetrack” shape. Available in storm or midnight colorways, these are your wireless earphones for workouts or when you’re on the go.
The BT Transfer, meanwhile, is your everyday, unobtrusive earbuds option. Available in gunmetal or midnight colorways with eight hours of battery life.
