Today: BODY releases an easy 60-proof spirit, ASICS updates the well-reviewed NOVABLAST and DTC furniture brand Floyd launches an elevated bean bag chair.

Buck Mason

Buck Mason Reserve Palm Cotton Short Sleeve Vintage Camp Shirt

Clocking in at a baffling 3 oz., Buck Mason’s Camp Shirt is impossibly light, thanks to its vintage-style blend of peached cotton herringbone. Really, it’s like not wearing a shirt at all — and what’s better than that?

Tom Ford

Tom Ford 004 Ocean Plastic Watches

Tom Ford’s newest recycled watch, the N.004, features a crisp smaller face — the design measures 27mm x 48.5mm — and is crafted from ocean plastic, a clear commitment to a cleaner, sustainable future from the historic menswear designer. The watches include a TOM FORD Timepiece signature braid strap made from 100% recycled material, and come available in semi-matte black and white ocean colorways.

Clarks

Clarks Originals Wallabee x Pokemon

Remember Pokemon? You know, “Gotta catch ’em all!” and Pikachu and hours spent on the GameBoy Color. For those suddenly nostalgic for a time when nabbing creatures was the main priority in your life, Clarks has a new collaboration with the GameFreak production, featuring the iconic yellow and back colorways of a certain electric mouse. The styles retail for $180, a small price to pay for getting your childhood back.

APL

APL McLaren HySpeed Sneakers

“A grand-tourer for your feet” is a real description of the new shoe collaboration between Athletic Propulsion Labs, a footwear company, and McLaren Automotive, a supercar company that makes vehicles that cost as much as homes. It’s called the HySpeed, and while it’s designed for running (with a carbon fiber plate, nitrogen-infused midsole), we’re going to guess wearers of these $450 sneaks — like McLaren car owners — are going to try their best not to scuff them. We say go for the ones in McLaren Orange.

FRAMA x Hender Scheme

East meets west in a collision of Japanese fashion label Hender Scheme and danish design studio FRAMA, partnering for a collection of vegetable-tanned leather home goods and accessories. Retailing from approximately $90 to $2,744 and available August 9 on both brands’ webstores, it’s a capsule an “interior decor enthusiast” does not want to miss.

BODY

BODY Light Vodka

BODY’s Indiana-corn-based spirit contains 25% less alcohol than standard 80-proof vodka, meaning you can have 25% more of it. At least, we think that’s how the math works.

ASICS

ASICS NOVABLAST 3 Running Shoe

With the NOVABLAST 2 already widely considered one of the best daily trainers available, we can only imagine that ASICS’ newest release will dominate the “Best of ’22” running shoe lists; the trainer contains more of the proprietary cloud-like “FF BLAST PLUS” cushioning foam than the previous model, yet now weighs 30 grams less. While it’s listed as “Coming Soon” on ASICS’ webstore, you can already snag the model at more specialty running stores.

Floyd

The Squishy Chair by Floyd

Inspired by the spirit of 1960s Italian design, the Squishy Chair is the direct-to-consumer furniture brand’s first-floor seating option. Unlike your run-of-the-mill bean bag chair, the Squishy offers comfortable support, never loses its shape over time and is made from a cloud-like, post-consumer foam fabric. It’s a playful yet high-quality piece of furniture that’ll fit just as well in the kids’ playroom as it will your home office.

Crescent Down Works

Crescent Down Works Stranger Things Jacket

Remember when Drive came out and guys started wearing replicas of Ryan Gosling’s scorpion jacket? That’s a bad example of stealing style from movies and TV. A good example? Putting in an order for the red, white and blue down jacket that Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers sport in the latest season of Stranger Things. The jackets were made in Seattle by Crescent Down Works exclusively for the show, but they’ve decided to sell a small run to the public because of the insane level of interest. They’re currently taking pre-orders for a January 2023 ship date.

Our Place

Our Place Wave Trivet

Handmade exclusively for Our Place by a Brooklyn-based ceramics home goods brand SIN, this funky looking stoneware trivet not only protects your table from hot pots and pans but doubles as an eye-catching sculptural statement when not in use.

Chubbies

Chubbies Everywear Pants

Made from ultra-stretchy, water-resistant performance fabric, these four-way stretch pants come available in six different colors and do have a traditional button and zipper fly despite being way more casual than business. As the brand’s name indicates, Chubbies’ new pants are flattering for all body types and heights.

Tabasco

Tabasco Dripping Hot Summer Collection

As Nelly proclaimed to kick off the 2000 summertime anthem “Country Grammar,” “Hot Shit.” Tabasso’s limited-edition collection of summer merchandise contains grilling-inspired items including a backyard BBQ blanket, saucy slides, a blazing button-down shirt and a fully insulated cooler bag with plenty of room for condiments and cold ones. Pass it to me now.

Old Potrero

Old Potrero Straight Rye Whiskey 6-Year-Old

Distilled in small copper pot stills since the ‘90s, San Francisco-based Hotaling & Co’s 100% malted rye is matured in charred American white oak barrels for a minimum of six years. Now delivered in a new bottle featuring a dark wooden top with a natural cork stopper, Old Potrero Straight Rye Whiskey still delivers tasting notes of brown sugar, black cherry, spice and maple.
