Each week, our inbox runneth over with news of gear, apparel and tech releases from around the world. In this feature, we’ll parse through the best of them.
Saturdays NYC x Stockholm (Surfboard) Club
Surf brand Saturdays NYC has partnered with the equally surf-centric Stockholm (Surf) Club to bring their products stateside. The collection was inspired by a recent visit from the Saturdays team to the Stockholm space of co-founders Manne Haglund Glad and Jonny Johansson (also co-founders of Acne Studios), where they were able to see firsthand the products inspired by cross-generational surfing culture as well as checkout local surfing spots. The resulting collection consists of t-shirts, hoodies and boardshorts in a range of hues and all bearing the SSC logo. For those serious about the sport, you can also pick up some surfing gear, like this fun lime green Preacher 6’9″.
Omega Seamaster Diver 300M “James Bond” Platinum-Gold Numbered Edition
In the fall, Omega released an absolute stunner as part of a new James Bond collection: a limited-edition Seamaster Diver 300M. It was full of tasteful Easter eggs — the 007 logo at 7 o’clock, the Bond family coat of arms at 12 o’clock and the number “50” placed in the Super-LumiNova at 10 o’clock, celebrating the 50th anniversary of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. It was priced at $6,500. Now, Omega is upping the ante with a new version featuring a platinum-gold case, 18K white gold detailing and other luxe finishes. As such, it’s now priced perfectly for a Bond villain.
Hyku Aroma Kit
Hyku is a new aromatherapy brand that differentiates itself from the competition by using 100% natural vegan oils that are free of the parabens phthalates that are so common across the industry — and so harmful to the human body. Hyku foregoes the traditional diffuser and replaces it with a small ceramic puck that slowly releases the oils into the air. Bundles are available featuring three carefully chosen 5ml oils and three diffuser pucks. We’re partial to the Rosemary, Juniper, and Citrus & Basil pack.
The DIOP Short
Ride out the rest of summer with these boldly patterned shorts from Detroit-based brand DIOP. Available in four different patterns (Idris, Cashew, Tema and Ouen) feature a 7″ seam and drawstring waist, meaning not only are they stylish but comfortable too. But besides comfort, the real draw of the shorts is the fabric from which they’re crafted, Ankara, a boldly patterned and colored fabric used throughout West Africa. The result is a pair of shorts that’ll instantly liven up your wardrobe and bring some much need color and variety to it. Throw them on with a white tee and you’ve got yourself the perfect late-summer outfit.
Rhodes Footwear Miles Slip-On
Give whatever sneakers you’ve been wearing day in and day out a rest and opt instead for something still casual but slightly more elevated, like Rhodes Footwear’s new Miles Slip-On. Taking style cues (and its name) from the great Miles Davis, the slip-on never leans too casual or too dressy, thanks to the sleek leather (or suede) and uncomplicated silhouette. The shoe also features grippy rubber inserts in the heel and forefoot, so while you’ll be able to slip them on easily, your foot won’t slip around while wearing them. Plus, the resoleable Goodyear welt construction means it’ll last. Buy a pair, and don’t be surprised if you never want to take them off.
Hoka One One Clifton 7
If you’re a runner, you’re probably already more than familiar with HOKA’s award-winning Clifton. It’s time to welcome the seventh iteration of that shoe to the world. Improving upon previous versions of the sneaker, the 7 features an updated engineered mesh upper for enhanced breathability, and a more padded tongue that’ll stay in place and provide extra comfort. It’s the same lightweight shoe you know and love, just streamlined and made even more comfortable.
OBEY x Dickies
It’s a hypebeast’s dream come true: streetwear brand OBEY and workwear mainstay Dickies have at long last paired up for a collaboration. The unisex collection includes Dickie staples like the Work Pant, Work Shirt and Eisenhower Jacket, in dark navy or khaki and printed all-over with Obey’s calling card, the Obey Giant (aka Andre the Giant). It’s a bold look, so those wanting something a little more subtle should choose from the collection’s t-shirts and crewneck sweatshirts.
Sunspel x Sperry Authentic Original 2-Eye Suede Boat Shoe
Sperry’s quintessential Boat Shoe is given an English touch thanks to Sunspel’s collaboration with the notoriously Americana brand. Keeping the iconic moccasin silhouette, the shoe is now crafted from a rich navy suede upper, with materials sourced from Charles F. Stead and Co., a family-owned tannery known for its expertly crafted suedes and leathers. The white soles provide the usual comfort and durability expected of Sperry shoes, as well as a stark contrast to the dark suede upper. While they’re probably not ideal to actually wear on a boat, they’ll look just as nice on land.
Noah Nautical Rugby Crewneck
We’re self-proclaimed fans of the rugby shirt and self-proclaimed fans of the brand Noah, so it’s only natural we’re smitten with Noah’s new Nautical Rugby Crewneck. Made from a thick and durable 8oz Practice Cloth, the rugby is available in red, yellow, navy and black, each featuring the traditional thick stripes expected of rugby shirts. In addition to the brand’s logo embroidered near the hem of the shirt, on the back is a reflective patch bearing the brand’s name. So if your name just happens to be Noah, consider it free advertising.
Bivo One – 21 oz
Bivo has created the first stainless steel bottle with a flow-rate designed specifically for cyclists — the Bivo One. Currently available for pre-order, the brand enlisted the help of their ex-NASA engineer to design the bottle, ultimately achieving a consistent flow-rate that doesn’t require any squeezing whatsoever all while providing a seamless and enjoyable drinking experience. Keeping in mind the bottle must fit in a range of cages, Bivo looked at the most popular bottle cages to ensure the bottle would fit comfortably and with no risk of falling out. Order it in vibrant shades of orange, turquoise and yellow, or keep it simple and sleek in black.

Doxa SUB 300
Doxa has shown throughout its history that the dive watch doesn’t have to be a solemn affair, and that nonconformist mantle has been picked up by one of the brand’s biggest fans, Monsieur Flavortown himself. If you’re in the market for a diver but find everything out there to be derivative, you’ll be happy to hear Doxa has released a new version of its SUB 300 in six different colors, from the orange Professional to the yellow Divingstar. And if you need more than a pretty face to shell out $2K, the automatic movement is even COSC certified.
