Each week, our inbox runneth over with news of gear, apparel and tech releases from around the world. In this feature, we’ll parse through the best of them. Today: a pair of Nike Air Max 97s inspired by Jesus walking on water, a roasting pan ready for the holidays and affordable fleeces from UNIQLO x Engineered Garments.

Everlane The ReNew Transit Backpack

Traveling is a hassle that is frequently compounded by the annoyance that can be baggage. Everlane has come to the rescue to solve all our travel woes with what they’re calling their “most functional, travel-friendly backpack.” The backpack features an array of pockets, including an exterior pocket just for one’s laptop, perfect for getting in and out of TSA with ease. The pass through strap can easily be hooked to luggage so you don’t have to worry about juggling all your bags. Plus it’s made from 100% recycled polyester.

Timex x Patta ‘Time is Money’ 40mm Fabric Strap Watch

If you need a dose of daily motivation, this watch has got you covered. Aptly named ‘Time is Money,’ this collaboration between Timex and Amsterdam-based streetwear brand Patta features monetary symbols in place of numbers around the dial. It’s a subtle design but one quick glance and you’ll be asking yourself if you’re really using your time wisely.

UNIQLO x Engineered Garments Fleece Collection

We can always count on UNIQLO to give us quality styles for affordable prices. And when they collaborate with higher-end designers like Vera Wang, or in this new collection, Daiki Suzuki of Engineered Garments, we’re getting an extra bang for our buck. So we’re extra excited for this latest collection of fleeces, which features the military-inspired design pallet of Engineered Garments, with the aesthetic sensibility (and affordability) of UNIQLO. Can you really beat a $20 designer fleece?

MSCHF x INRI Nike Air Max 97 “Jesus Shoes”

As Kanye West once proclaimed, “Jesus Walks,” and if Jesus was around today, we’re sure he’d be rocking these customized Nike Air Max 97s inspired by one of his dopest miracles. Brooklyn-based creative label MSCHF has teamed up with INRI (Iesus Nazaraeus Rex Iudaeorum) to produce these sneaks, evoking the miracle of Jesus walking on water in Matthew 14:25. The pair have been filled with 60cc of water that was originally sourced from the River Jordan and then blessed — so yes, technically you are “walking on water.” The shoes also feature red insoles that have been scented with Frankincense, while a steel crucifix sits on the shoelaces. The pair was originally priced at $1,450, but sold out within a minute of going on sale, and can now be bought on the StockX marketplace with prices starting at $2,499 and only getting higher. So you could say that yes, Jesus really did die for our sins.

Made In Blue Carbon Steel Roasting Pan

Direct-to-consumer cookware brand Made In has just the thing to step up your home chef game in time for cooler-weather cooking needs and the holiday gauntlet: the Blue Carbon Steel Roasting Pan. American chef Tom Colicchio, who you know intimately from your long nights bingeing Top Chef, helped design this roasting pan to be a versatile workhorse that’ll also look good arranged artfully on a dinner party table. While the pan is technically available, it’s currently on preorder and will begin shipping October 21st. Oh, and just in case you’re wondering, this puppy can hold up to a 12-pound turkey.

Red Wing Heritage Limited Edition Billy Boots

For their latest boot, Red Wing delved into the archives to source inspiration for the new iteration of the Billy Boot. This limited edition pair is crafted from Black Klondike leather that will develop a patina with wear, in addition to featuring the iconic Traction Tred outsole. But the most ingenious feature is the pocket on the upper part of the boot, crafted solely for the purpose of stowing a pocket knife. Unfortunately, you’ll have to provide your own knife.

4130 Vane Damme (Fixed Gear / Single-Speed)

The Van Damme, from State Bicycle Co, is a fixed/single gear bike that pays tribute to Jean Claude himself, with a black frame dotted with yellow and red accents, recalling the Belgian actor’s native flag. Like all State bicycles, it looks great and is exceedingly affordable, coming in at just $549. Perfect for zipping around town, or taking a long, leisurely ride with a loved one.

Topo Designs x New Balance

The New Balance 574 is an iconic shoe by pretty much any definition, but real heads know that the most desirable iterations of the casual sneaker are the limited editions and collaborations New Balance has shown such a knack for over the years. The newest addition to that group comes courtesy of a relationship with backpack/outdoors company Topo Designs, with whom they’ve released a skate-inspired version of the 574, which features classic styling on the upper, with a cream-colored midsole and a gum outsole. And it’ll retail for just $85.

Baker’s Bourbon Single Barrel

The “Baker” in this wonderful spirit is Baker Beam, grand-nephew of Jim Beam and retired family distiller (the liquid itself is created by his cousin Booker Noe). The line’s undergone a design revamp — no more giant “B” on the front — and just introduced a fantastic single barrel. Which means any tasting notes will vary from barrel to barrel, but you’ll always get a seven-year, 107 proof (!), full-bodied whiskey that deserves a long afternoon of sipping and contemplating. Or stop with the pretentious and drink it mixed with Pepsi, as Baker does.

Leatherman FREE K Series

So they’re not technically free. But Leatherman’s new FREE K Series is pretty damn inexpensive for a multitool. The FREE platform utilizes magnetic architecture in its design, so everything on these multitools is easier to open, handle and close with one hand. As well, the proprietary locking system also integrates magnets, reducing the tool’s general wear and tear. Each of the four new models features a 3.35” 420HC stainless steel blade and up to eight additional tools (pry tool, awl, bottle openers, screwdrivers, etc.). Plus, they’re all made in the USA and come with a 25-year guarantee.

Air Jordan VI Travis Scott

The biggest Air Jordan drop of the year comes from La Flame himself, who found plenty of success with his previous Jordan collaborations. For the latest from the rapper and shoe brand, the Air Jordan 6 has been enhanced with a reflective underlay beneath the suede olive upper and a glow-in-the-dark sole, perfect for when the lights go out (or if you’re scared of the dark). Each shoe features a small cargo pocket on the ankle, for storing what we’re not exactly sure. It wouldn’t be a Jordan and Travis Scott collab without ‘Cactus Jack,’ one of Scott’s many monikers, included on the shoe, this time on both the lace lock and right heel. Unsurprisingly, the sneakers sold out almost immediately (even the kids’ sizes) but if you’re a committed Scott fan you can always shell out a mere $1,229 for a pair.

Huckberry X Timex Diver

If we know anything about you, dear InsideHook reader, it’s that you love you some Huckberry. If we know two things about you, though, it’s that you also love you some Timex. Convenient, then, that the two brands have teamed up on this very handsome and very affordable vintage-style dive watch. It measures a tasteful 38mm in diameter, comes on a NATO strap, and is limited to just 700 pieces.

Away Expandable Nylon Bigger Carry-On

Away has taken over the suitcase industry, at least among the younger, cooler crowds, in recent years almost establishing themselves as a certain kind of status symbol, and they continue to, ahem, expand their product line. The brand’s newest offering is their first ever expandable suitcase, crafted to the same dimensions as their “Bigger Carry-On,” but constructed from water-proof nylon that gives it up to 2 inches of stretch. It features all of Away’s signature internal organizational features, but, note, no built-in portable charger.
