Aside from the completely insane and depressing Middle-Aged Mutant Ninja Turtles digital short, the best part of Saturday Night Live “At Home” this past weekend was getting a little peek inside the homes of the cast members. We now know, for instance, that Michael Che loves displaying memorabilia with his own name on it. And we know that Heidi Gardner owns a copy of The Wes Anderson Collection by Matt Zoller Seitz, which has only made us love her more than we already did.

But we also learned a little bit about host (and OG Covid-19 survivor) Tom Hanks’s taste in espresso machines. On full display behind him during his monologue was the Delonghi Magnifica ESAM 3300.

It’s a well-reviewed “super automatic” machine, meaning you don’t need all the training necessary to properly “pull a shot” like the cool baristas down at your local coffee shop do on their fully manual machines. Instead, you just have to be able to press a button like the decidedly less cool baristas down at Starbucks. And like Tom Hanks, apparently. It’s packed with features and by all accounts performs very well, and recently had its price dropped from $700 to a very reasonable $529.

We initially started trying to identify the machine because we assumed it would be some crazy thing that costs thousands, but we’re happy to report that Tom Hanks has made a perfectly sensible purchase. And now you can, too.
