The Bruiser Bomber Jacket by Buck Mason
If there’s a problem with leather jackets (there’s not, but let’s play out the hypothetical), it’s the fact that they don’t grow with you. You want a snug fit, which means that putting on 20 lbs. from one autumn to the next could leave with you a zipper that no longer reaches the top floor (again, this isn’t a real problem, since leather jackets look best worn open anyway). A bomber, though, gives you a bit of stretch at the waist and collar, which makes for a slightly roomier leather number. Women’s denim wizards Madewell just launched a men’s line of vintage jeans, faded hoodies and sneaker collabs, but they only needed to drop this sherpa-lined jean jacket to make me happy. This piece is effortless. The quiet, abraded blue, the glinting rose gold buttons, the I Can’t Believe It’s Not a Sweatshirt interior … Garish statement jackets are fun, but I far appreciate those that seem to auto-generate outfit options. Stutterheim X Happy Socks Dream Raincoat
What am I supposed to do, don the same black REI raincoat every season just because the incredible construction means it’s nowhere near wearing out, even though I’m frankly bored to tears of black? There’s no use choosing boring gear, or worse — an umbrella — when Happy Socks just released the Dream Raincoat, their first piece of rainwear. This “dreamy” collab with Stockholm-based rainwear company Stutterheim is unisex and limited edition, which means it will never become ubiquitous enough to tire of. — Athena Wisotsky, Senior Editor
Saturdays NYC Harrison Jacket
Not to be confused with the Harrington, this number from the menswear surf bums at Saturdays NYC is everything I didn’t know I wanted. It borrows from the workwear-to-streetwear trend — the robust twill will survive a scrap and has that just-harvested corn-field look — but won’t get me dirty looks during dirt-road excursions like the trendy Carhartt WIP. They’ve got it in cobalt and black too, but … actually, please do buy those so I can have this burnt khaki all to myself. — Alex Lauer, Senior Editor

A lightweight outer shell with a removable quilted vest insert, in case you want to get your full finance bro on. The Winslow Parka in Navy by Taylor Stitch
