Over the course of the lifetime, there are all sorts of clubs a man can join.
Some offer booze and friendship, while others have offer whatever the hell this is. Not many, however, provide the one thing nearly every man yeans for: a monthly delivery of cured artisan meats.
Enter the Carnivore Club, an Ontario-based outfit that hooks members up with four to six varieties of handcrafted meat each month. Themed around one producer specializing in a particular style (e.g. Spanish chorizo, South African biltong or artisanal jerky), each month’s delivery comes in a handsome faux-wood box that smells of rich charcuterie.
“Like wine, the laborious craft of cured meats is an art form that requires the diligent pursuit of perfection through endless hours of trial and error,” the club says. “Carnivore Club celebrates the individual recipes of each meat savant, no two are alike even when similar in name.”
Available on a monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, or one-off basis, club subscriptions start at $55 but are offered at a discount for members who are willing to commit to multiple months of meat.
