Since you’re not going to be sleeping on the Great Wall, here’s another Airbnb with a twist. And it’s quite a serpentine twist.
Mexican architect Javier Senosiain’s Nido de Quetzalcoatl is a house that’s shaped like a snake — and it’s now available for rent.
Located north of Mexico City, the colorful abode is actually one continuous form that lifts off the ground and tunnels beneath it, in aggregate resembling the head of a snake with open jaws. The unique design came about due to the irregular topography of the 5,000-square-mater property, which is pockmarked with caves, a stream and oak trees that cross the land longitudinally.
As for your rental? Five bedrooms, four bathrooms, living room, kitchen, laundry, garden and a park. Wifi, too, but no parties allowed. It goes for around $225 per night, with a fair amount of availability at press time.
