If you think this water toy looks like someone just slapped a motor on a stand-up paddleboard, you wouldn’t be too far off.
Radinn, the Swedish extreme sports innovators, just dropped the G2X Jetboard, an electric surfboard that crushes open water at a top speed of 35 MPH. Best part is it doesn’t even need waves, let alone the perfect barrel.
The G2X comes with a waterproof remote that allows a “surfer” to regulate the speed and monitor the battery (it also vibrates if it’s feeling low on power). All that’s left is to angle the board and keep balance. And for those looking to retain the whole open-sea tranquility aspect of surfing, you’ll be pleased to hear that the G2X is completely silent while cruising through the water.
If you’re not looking to shell out the 12 grand asking price, scope out an hour rental at Radinn’s wakejet facility in Barcelona, which will tag ya for just a couple hundred bucks.
