A few weeks after he introduced his parents to hers, Tim Tebow has revealed how he met his girlfriend, 2017 Miss Universe winner Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.
During an appearance on TODAY, the former Heisman winner said he met Nel-Peters while attending an event in the country she represented in the pageant.
It was at Night to Shine, a non-profit event for people with special needs that is sponsored by the Tebow Foundation.
“Her sister has special needs, so we invited them to Night to Shine in South Africa,” he said. “We kind of met and started talking through that and haven’t stopped.”
And based on how active they’ve been about showcasing their relationship on social media, it seems unlikely 23-year-old Nel-Peters and Tebow, 31, will be stopping anytime soon.
“She is a very sweet, young girl,” he said.
