With a new quarterback in town, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers now have a new set of uniforms to match.
Hinted at and already revealed in some corners of the internet, Tampa’s new uniforms hark back to when the team was winning games, including Super Bowl XXXVII, in the late ’90s and early 2000s. Instead of getting too complicated, the new color scheme for the uniforms is a fairly straightforward combination of a deeper red, pewter and white.

For the few fans of clock-like number font that was on Tampa’s uniforms following a previous redesign in 2014, sorry, that’s been left on the cutting room floor.
“This new but familiar look is a direct result of the valuable feedback we received from our fans,” Buccaneers owner and co-chairman Ed Glazer said. “We are excited to return to our classic Super Bowl era uniforms while also introducing a sleek Color Rush uniform that showcases our signature pewter in a new and dramatic way. The refreshed classic design of our home and away combinations bridges our past with our exciting new future, and we are confident it will resonate with our fans.”
Now that the new uniforms have been unveiled, this one probably has a shot at becoming a bestseller in Tampa Bay — and New England.
