New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was reportedly arrested and cited for misdemeanor vandalism after allegedly jumping on the hood of a car in Beverly Hills, California on Saturday night (Jan. 11).

Edelman allegedly hopped up onto the hood of a Mercedes around 9 p.m. PST, causing damage to the vehicle. After he was arrested, he was released by police, and he is scheduled to appear at Airport Courthouse on April 13.

The Patriot was at dinner with Paul Pierce and Danny Amendola earlier that evening. Pierce posted a photo of the trio on Instagram, captioning it “y’all know what it is.”

Edelman was recently named the team’s 2019 Ed Block Courage Award recipient. Last year he was the MVP for Super Bowl LIII. His arrest comes one week after the Patriots were eliminated in the playoffs by the Titans — the first time since 2009 that the team has failed to make it to the divisional round in the postseason.
