In a new video that his coach Mike Schy posted on Instagram, Bryson DeChambeau showed off the way he is preparing to attack the tee box at the Masters in about two weeks.

“It’s different,” Golf.com’s Dylan Dethier writes of DeChambeau’s swing. “It doesn’t look like how you expect a pro golfer’s driver swing to look. It’s faster, and stronger, and has a far bigger grunt associated with it.”
The 27-year-old’s shout of “208” in the midst of the video presumably refers to the ball’s speed in miles per hour after he nailed it with his driver.
Earlier in the month, DeChambeau posted an Instagram story showing he had achieved 401.3 yards of carry with the driver he is using to go along with a ball speed of 211 mph and a hang time of 8.2 seconds.
Prior to the release of this video, DeChambeau showed off a slow-motion clip of what it looks like when he makes contact using a a 48-inch driver.
DeChambeau, who won the U.S. Open last month by six strokes, led the PGA Tour in 2020 with a driving distance of 322.1 yards. The tour average for the season was 296.4 yards, according to ESPN.
