While his sons were growing up, Archie Manning was a quarterback for the New Orleans Saints.
Two of them, Eli and Peyton, followed in his footsteps and made the NFL as quarterbacks, while his third son, Cooper, was forced to stop playing football after being diagnosed with a rare spinal condition.
Although Archie’s playing days are far behind him, the elder Manning is still involved in football and he thinks his middle son, who retired after winning the Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos, will be as well.
“Peyton, somewhere along the line, would like to be back in football — in ownership or front office or something,” Manning told the IndyStar.

The middle Manning brother has had his chances and reportedly turned down a very lucrative offer to join the crew on ESPN’s Monday Night Football.
“I talked to the Monday Night Football folks,” the former Bronco and Colt told Ryan O’Halloran of the Denver Post. “I enjoyed talking to them. I had a great conversation. It wasn’t the right time this year. Maybe it will never be. I enjoy talking and listening. But I am pretty good, going back to recruiting in high school, and then telling you pretty quickly that I am out or that I am in. I am not trying to lead anybody on. I think college coaches that recruited me appreciated that.”
For now, the two-time Super Bowl winner is scratching his football itch by hosting the football-themed documentary series Peyton’s Places on ESPN+.
