The Buzz Aldrin Space Foundation has chimed in on the lawsuit it is facing, in which the famed astronaut is suing, claiming that the foundation is using his finances to fund “future educational endeavors” when his goal is to fund “current educational endeavors,” according to Page Six.
Foundation rep Brett Griffin said, “We are disappointed and upset at the unsubstantiated and inaccurate claims made by those representing Col. Aldrin to the media.”
Griffin added that the foundation is committed to protecting the reputation and well-being of Aldrin, telling Page Six, “the Aldrin family and foundation continue to be very concerned for his vulnerability to manipulation by other parties seeking to gain access to, and control of, the foundation and his personal resources.”
Aldrin’s lawsuit also names his children, Andrew and Janice, former manager Christina Korp and the Florida Institute of Technology alleging elder exploitation, fraud, and slander.
