Per an InsideHook office discussion this morning, there’s really no wrong way to eat a Pop-Tart. Whether you like them toasted or room temp right out of the packet, they’re delicious. (But we did agree that choosing unfrosted instead of frosted is an unhinged preference.) We were discussing the toaster treats today because Pop-Tarts just announced a new flavor, Frosted Banana Bread, and it’s what breakfast dreams are made of.
While a new Pop-Tarts flavor is certainly a reason to get up in the morning, Pop-Tarts is sweetening the deal by launching limited-edition Pop-Tartigans, cozy knit sweaters that feature whimsical renditions of everyone’s favorite flavors (Frosted Wild Berry, anyone?). Now guys, we know these grandma-esque cardigans might not be your bag, but take it from me — someone in your life is going to want this thing. Each Pop-Tarts cardigan was hand-knit by London Kaye and her team of talented artisans.
Pop-Tarts Is Teaming Up With Tajín for a Tangy, Spicy Breakfast Collab
Fans can now wake and shake the savory seasoning on their sugary morning pastryThe new Frosted Banana Bread Pop-Tarts are expected to hit stores nationwide this month, and an eight-count box will cost about $3.89. The breakfast brand describes the flavor as a “mix of banana, molasses and warm spices for that fresh-from-the-oven taste, sans kitchen skills.” The toaster pastries shouldn’t be too hard to find, but the cardigans, on the other hand, will be much more difficult to procure.
The first batch of the Pop-Tarts cardigans went on sale yesterday and are already sold out. But interested parties can also try to snag one on March 31 and April 4. On both of those days, they will go on sale at 12 p.m. EST, and 20 sweaters will be available each day for $45 a piece at bananabreapoptarts.com.
