The Glass Incident Fire Has Already Destroyed Several Napa Valley Wineries

A wildfire called the Glass Incident Fire that started on the Napa/Sonoma County border on Sunday has so far damaged or destroyed at least 114 structures, including a three-star Michelin restaurant and several independent vineyards, according to a report by Eater.

There’s no confirmed cause of the fire at the moment. According to recent tweets by CalFire, at least 70,000 people have been evacuated and 56,781 acres of land have been decimated.

Eater’s roundup of the damage to different wineries paints a rather grim picture; some places lost buildings but not the vineyards (Burgess Cellars) while others witnessed the opposite (Bremer Family Winery). Others, like Chateau Boswell, were completely destroyed.

The Napa County Office of Emergency Services notes that there are 64 total wineries within the evacuation zone and nearly 27,000 homes, restaurants and other businesses at risk as of Thursday.
