It’s no surprise that a luxury villa near Sicily owned and furnished by Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana is a looker.
The real surprise that it’s kind of a bargain at $6.5 million.
The namesakes behind the luxury Italian fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana are currently selling their villa on the slopes of the Stromboli volcano.
The furnished seven-bedroom (each in a different color), nine-bathroom property features panoramic terraces which overlook the Tyrrhenian Sea. The dwelling, reachable by boat or helicopter, is “born from the fusion of three typical Aeolian dwellings and follows the trend of the jagged coast of volcanic rocks,” as the (translated) listing by Lionard Luxury Real Estate notes.
According to the brokers, Dolce and Gabbana have spent their summers at the villa dating back to the 1990s and hosted “memorable parties [with] international stars.” As well, Colin Ferrell shot a D&G perfume ad at the property a few years back. You might know the island of Stromboli from the 1950 Ingrid Bergman film Stromboli: Land of God.
