Boston-based RR Auction is putting U.S. president John F. Kennedy‘s private life on the block in its June 16-23 “Pop Culture” auction. One of the main highlights of the auction is a four-page handwritten letter JFK wrote to alleged mistress Mary Pinchot Meyer, the wife of a CIA agent. It is thought to be one of Kennedy’s last letters written before his assassination. Pre-auction estimates for the letter put it at $30,000. Also included in the sale are a candid photo—along with an extortion letter written when Kennedy was in the Senate about his alleged infidelity ($15,000)—and a rocking chair used by the president ($80,000).
