Later this month Patrick Schwarzenegger will star in Midnight Sun, the movie that may help him move past his father’s physically-massive shadow. The 24-year-old was cast alongside Bella Thorne in the upcoming romance, and he recently spoke with Cosmopolitan about his rising stardom. Schwarzenegger said his dad’s famous rags-to-riches immigrant story gives him the confidence to forge his own path, to “never listen to the naysayers,” as his dad tells him. As for his favorite movies, Schwarzenegger and his girlfriend Abby Champion love romantic dramas, namely The Notebook and The Fault in Our Stars, both of which pull the same heart strings Midnight Sun hopes to pull when it arrives in theaters.
