Observing Halloween without a scary story or two is like celebrating the holiday sans candy, costume or videos of children crying.
To make sure no one goes through Halloween without a terrifying tale to tell in the dark, well-known funnyman and lesser-known horror aficionado Patton Oswalt has put together and edited a collection of spooky stories for Canadian publisher Hingston & Olsen.
Featuring the works of writers ranging from George R. R. Martin to Chelsea Yarbro, the tales in The Ghost Box are packaged in individually bound booklets and delivered in a handmade matte-black box.
“These are some of my favorite stories of gut-bucket or subtle terror, and sometimes uncomfortable combinations of both,” Oswalt says in the introduction. “I wanted each of these selections to be a concentrated sip of shimmering unease.”
Full of monsters, murderers and intrigue, you can get your box set for $42.
