Megyn Kelly has never shied away from discussing her own experience while reporting on the #MeToo movement, and on Monday, the host dove headfirst into the most recent allegations against former NBC Nightly News anchor Tom Brokaw by referencing what happened to her at Fox. Kelly said, “I just came from Fox where we just went through this,” reports The Washington Post.

A former NBC correspondent named Linda Vester claimed that Brokaw sexually harassed her n two occasions in the 1990s. Brokaw has denied the claims. Many women have come to his defense, with over 100 signing a petition pledging their support for the veteran journalist, whom they described as a “man of tremendous decency and integrity,” according to The Post. Rachel Maddow, Andrea Mitchell and Maria Shriver all signed.

Kelly, however, said that the letter is “basically a character reference” and warned the women that signed.

“I understand that because when you love the person under attack you want to say, ‘This has been my experience,’ ” Kelly said, according to The Post. “I will say that the same thing did happen at Fox. And the truth is, you don’t know what you don’t know. And that’s not in any way to impugn Tom, who I love and who has been so good to me. I’m just saying, you don’t know what you don’t know.”

Kelly documented her own sexual harassment while working at Fox News. In her book, Settle for More, Kelly claimed she was targeted by network head Roger Ailes, who Kelly said promised to help her career in return for sexual favors. Ailes was later ousted in 2016 after similar allegations were revealed.
